Not a huge turnout of wings fans. Matt rambo went out.of his way to meet the that where there.
I didn’t need a ticket to attend the draft. Then again, I didn’t plan on going or bother attending it anyways.
They said on the broadcast it was the biggest attended draft they have held, imagine has it been on a decent day of the week
I'd say 30 or 40 fans? It was mostly draftees and family.
No bio on the players, no highlight reel, no music in between announcements, you couldn't hear the post announcement interview with the player or the commentary during the downtime. I would have expected a little more showmanship at least for the first round. Being able to talk Wings lax with some other fans was probably the best part but honestly the draft itself was pretty lame.
I didn’t go it’s about hiw I expected it to go
I don’t watch lacrosse outside of the nll anyways so I didn’t know of a single player in the draft
I will say I drove through some nasty weather to get there, including a tornado warning. It is always something with Wings events. It may have deterred another couple dozen folks from coming. All the major.roads to.the north and east of the city had 30 to.60 min delays. Normally takes.me.35 min, took me 70. I walked in right as they were announcing the first pick.
The room was comfortably full, but they easily couple have packed in a lot more.
I.agree with GeoffS. The PA was hard to hear. They had video of webcast between picks conversation on the production console, why not put that on the big screen in the room?
I didn't watch the draft, but here's how I picture my ideal NLL draft in 2019 and beyond:
Choose a nice location in an NLL city. Perhaps at a well-known bar/hotel conference room in the area.
Have an autograph signing with prospects who are on hand. Considering not many fans attend, this would take what? 20 minutes at most?
Have a nice highlight montage, about 45 seconds long to show of each prospect after they've been drafted. You don't have to do this for every round, but at least do it for the first.
A brief interview with the draftee that those in attendance can hear
A post-draft party. This would work best if the draft was on a Thursday night...but by being on Thursday you're competing with NFL games.
The blonde doing the interviewing sure had a nice rack though.
You had no chance with her.
Arf and wing-4-life should.have been there. Cheerleaders were there, at the bar.
You know about my track record with cheerleaders in Philadelphia. Sweet
Is anyone gonna share pictures, or point me in the right direction?
And thisones for all the haters
Who even is that? She does seem to be a step up from Mia Gordon and Ashley.
And no, I'm not a keyboard warrior, I'm a GQ model away from this message board.
That's fine, I am only allowed to look.
The brunette escorting the players on stage was even better
AmericanRockFan da like the brunette ladies more than the blonde ladies.
