I thought Big E was trying to arrange something later in the season... I know there were a lot interested in the opener until it was announced it was a Friday night.

Eric tried to get a trip together but not that many people are interested. Plus the Casino/hotel didn't get back to him on room discounts. Going rate there ranges from $253 to over $400 a night with taxes.

I'm interested in going up for a trip including my girlfriend and her friend. Can't make the January 2nd game though. Saturday games are better for us. Maybe we could find cheaper rooms somewhere else in the area. Please let me know if anyone gets a group together for a trip.

I do believe there's a Motel 6 that is modestly priced (at least compared to the casino hotel) 15 minutes west of the casino along the expressway. There's other hotels too once you get back into I-95, about 20 minutes away from the casino.

If anyone wants to stay at my place, it's a Bring Your Own Bed affair.

Found a Red Roof about 20 minutes away for $65/night. Heading up on the 24th (only home date I can do).

The letter that Wings STH's got after the relocation said there would be deals for rooms at the Hyatt but never received any info on that.

Is there anyone you can contact to see if that ever manifested itself?

im going next weekend and staying at the Mystic Marriot in groton about a 20 min drive (will be a cab) to mohegan for 100.00 with parrotbaytaz's chain employee discount little more upscale for a nights slumber because econo lodges are dumps
i cant fault them for the prices at mohegan . its a casino thats when they make thier money on weekends with rooms . they are dirt cheap during the weekdays

Now that NBW seems to be a decent and better team than the old Wings and a nontrivial number of Wings fans have made the trip already in the first two games seemingly liking the experience, maybe PWFC ought to consider "staying alive" and making a bus trip. I hope so!
