    talk about powerhouse drafts.
    the 1995 bandit draft was;
    1-jason luke
    2-shaydon santos
    3-john grant jr
    4-tracy kelusky
    5-brian beisel

    jason might go down as lacrosse's jimmy piersall, the ultimate tragedy that needs no further repeating.
    shaydon had become the "peter jacobs" of the bandits and could never catch a break w/ bandit posters.
    but to have both grant & kelusky slip through your fingers...but i guess the kids figured that a scholarship was worth more than a rookie stipend.

    Remember, in 1995 the draft was far more territorial. Buffalo was the closest team to the OLA hotbed, and therefore they had an advantage. The thought at the time was that Jr and Kelusky wouldn't play, but they chanced it anyway.

    Back then, teams like NY, Boston, and Philly wouldn't waste a pick on someone who 1). lived so far away,and 2). probably wouldn't turn pro.

    Buffalo also drafted Marechek don't forget.

    Imagine if a Bandits offense in 2001/2002 could've consisted of Tavares, Grant, Powell, and Kelusky.... I know there's only 1 ball to go around, but jeezus....
