Make it the quality of the second game of the Champions Cup every game and I'll be very happy.

^^Sask is one of the better remote telecasts.

Some of them are frustrating as hell, because the picture and sound are solid, but, the camerawork and angle selection are bullshit.

Maybe they should buy Rochester streaming technology from this century. Georgia and New England aren't much better, either.

Rochester and New England are, in my opinion, the two worst feeds in the NLL.

Georgia and NE are both plagued with idiots that keep changing the zoom or the camera angle every five seconds......even if you know who has the ball, his location on the screen seems to jump, and, he seems to change direction every time they do this. Makes it damned near unwatchable.

Philly should have a great feed... I wonder where San Diego will play and if their feed will be any good

The hockey arena there is 51 years old, so don't get too excited about a modern feed.

The arena did just go through considerable renovation though not too long ago.

    • In the past five years, Valley View Casino Center has experienced a $5 million transformation including a new parking lot, new entrances, new bathrooms, new seating, the renovation and rebrand of the Stella Artois Lounge and the addition of the GMC Denali PIT, among many other improvements.
    • Rated #1 facility in California for venues with 10,001 – 15,000 seats.
    • Rated #5 facility in the world for venues with 10,001 – 15,000 seats.
    • Voted #1 in “Stadiums & Arenas” by the San Diego’s Best Business Program.

It still cannot be worse than Rochester's feed, so as long as it's not "Rochester bad" then it'll be worth watching.

An interesting tidbit in the Philly Biz Journal about Comcast and NLL.tv.

"Sakiewicz noted what made Comcast Spectacor a particularly strong partner was not only its track record in sports but also the status of its parent company, Comcast Corp., as leader in programming and technology. He said the league early this year launched its own subscription-based digital network to broadcast games and expects to consult with Comcast on how best to manage and grow that service."

Sakiewicz also told Tyson on the Youtube channel that they are investing more money this year into NLL.tv to improve the production quality.

It won't cost much to make an absolute world of difference in quality. Delighted to hear this!

just got the email blitz asking me to sign up for nll tv.

it better be better - $40, no sign of season seat holder discount.

think i will wait and see if they offer freebie trial weeks again......not like they will sell out if i dawdle

I think I'll suck it up and pay my $40 for the season package again. Unless the feeds prove to be utter **** all around, and I'll just have American Express take the charge off my card.

So is the NLL going to buy better equipment for arenas to use and upgrade the bandwidth out of places like Rochester to improve the production quality??? I don't know how you "improve the production quality" without doing those 2 things.

Yes. this is exactly the sort of thing I was saying years ago when I launched the Comcast now owns all of NBCUniversal; good for the NLL in the long-run? thread in February 2013 wanting to get Comcast involved and thinking they might want to get involved as well.

The time was ripe for a real win-win here between the league and Comcast.
I strongly suspect this was part of the reason that the Board of Governors went with Nick (and possibly pressured George out) and why there was no problem moving league HQ to the PHI area.

This is all good - for the NLL, for Comcast, for Philadelphia, and for America.

THE ARDMORE AARDVARK IS WONDERING IF HE HAS TO RE-SIGN UP FOR NLLTV IN 2018 OR IS HE AUTOMATICALLY RE-SIGNED UP UNLESS HE VETOES IT?

ARDMORE AARDVARK DA COUNTING DOWN DA DAYS TO THE DA SEASON.

I do not believe that it is automatic.
However, did you not get an announcement at the end of last season for substantial savings if you renewed early?
I did. Don't remember how much it cost, but I renewed ASAP and saved quite a bit.

    EDIT:
About 19 DEC 2016, I paid $34.95 for the 2017 NLLTV comprehensive package.
About 03 APR 2017, I paid $20.96 for my 2018 NLLTV comprehensive package early renewal.
That savings of $13.99 is a savings of 40%.
So, the early renewal was well worth it!
