    If the Oregon colleges started to pick up NCAA lacrosse, that would help drive the Portland market again. I think this will happen, but may take another generation as lax makes its way westward and we get more western NCAA champions.

    Dunno. I think marketing to hockey, football, and pro wrestling fans will get you further than marketing to NCAA fans

    There's a fairly poor correlation between successful NLL cities and nearby college lacrosse.

    After Philly pholded, it's even poorer.......

    In fact, when you look at the way the seasons overlap, maybe counting on college laX people to buy NLL tickets is kind of a lame marketing strategy.

    No, I'm not counting on those fans at all. Simply, when the sport exists at a decent NCAA level and is covered in the press, then people become aware of it. It's an intrinisic form of marketing.

    the jax folded due to a bad lease.

    Plus many of their corporate sponsors pulled out due to the recession. That's what killed the team.
