I am thinking about starting up a fantasy lacrosse league that is like fantasy football where there is a draft to pick players and do it like a normal fantasy league. I am trying to figure out the scoring and what a good number of players would be.

What I was thinking was maybe 7 runners active, 1 goalie and three on bench.

    For scoring I was thinking

    1 point for a goal
    .5 points for an assist
.1 points for a loose ball
.5 points for a face off win
-1 point for a penalty minute

    For goalies
    .5 points per save
    -1 point for goals allowed

    Any thoughts??

way to much for a face off win which is nothing more than a loose ball yet you give it 5x the value.

For goalies, should be three saves to a point. 75% save average was always the benchmark for a goalie giving his team a chance to win.

Should be -0.25 points per penalty minute...approximately 50% chance of a goal against every 2 minute powerplay

Agree with MTBF on faceoffs...it's maybe worth a little more than a regular loosie, but not 5x. Make it 0.1 if you don't want to carry a second decimal
