What's the answer to this question?
A Doctor's lab coat. You have to earn your undergrad and medial degrees to earn the right to wear one in a medical setting.
So know one wants to take a stab at the last question?
I.was thinking Tom Hanks and Matt Damon, but got stuck there.
Not a bad guess... I am sorry that the question seems so complex... It's not that bad, just looks it.
OK, I will give some hints:
Comparatively speaking to Year_1 and Year_2, X<0.
As mentioned, Call won Best Supporting Actor for his role in Movie_Year_X. However, Movie_Year_X was won Best Picture.
Two movie years later, Call was nominated (but lost) as Best Actor in Movie_Year_X+2 which was also nominated for Best Picture.
The Director of Movie_Year_X+2, let's call him "David", was not nominated as Best Director that year, but he was nominated (but lost) as Best Director for Movie_Year_2_B.
In fact, actor Call and that Director David have worked in numerous Academy Award nominated/won pictures together.
So, besides the question already asked, what is Movie_Year_X+2 and who is the director named David?
(Again, David is just a placeholder name with David being the name of the 4th android in the Alien films.)
I wish I had the time and energy to set up the matrix to figure this out.
Yeah, unfortunately, I don't have Visio at work on my normal machine. I was going to create a block diagram to show the connections.
It's not pure logic though. I also expect to add another clue or two or three. The more I look at the movies involved, the coincidences are very numerous!
OK, this is just too convoluted to draw up and, considering I had lots of extra clues that I could have given by introducing more people and movies making it even more convoluted, I will just give the answers:
ASH = Kevin Costner
BISHOP = Ray Liotta
CALL = Robert De Niro
DAVID = Martin Scorcese
The Year X is 1974.
The Year 1 is 1989.
The Year 2 is 1990.
MOVIE_YEAR_X = The Godfather, Part II
MOVIE_YEAR_X+2 = Taxi Driver
MOVIE_YEAR_1 = Field of Dreams
MOVIE_YEAR_2_A = Dances With Wolves
MOVIE_YEAR_2_B = Goodfellas
MOVIE_YEAR_2_C = Awakenings
MOVIE_YEAR_2_D = The Godfather, Part III
MOVIE_YEAR_2_E = Ghost
Within 10 how many drive in theaters still operate in the US?
I ask this because I drove past one in operation tonight, in the middle of nowhere CT. Also had great Thai food in Willamantic. That was even more surprising.
The answer is 330. That number is actually a lot higher than I expected, but apparently they are still popular in Calif.
I have never been to a drive-in theatre.
Probably been since the early 80s for me. There used to be 3 within 5 miles of where I live, and probably 8 within a 20 min drive. One went to porn, which made people ask for south facing rooms at the adjacent hotel. They would claim they wanted to be on the side "away from the road."
A drive-in that shows porn? Is that even legal??
It was I guess. This one was just outside of Philly along Rte 1. I talked to someone once who worked in the hotel, that's how I got the story. He said people would park in the hotel's lot where there was an angle for the screen, or park and.walk into the woods for close up viewing. Oh, one can only think of the scope of seeing that stuff on such a large screen!
There was another one somewhere northeast of of Reading, Pa on the highway to Allentown. I passed it back when I was in college there, in the early 80s. There was a regular theatre somewhere around here back then, I think along rte 1 outside of Trenton, which I know of because they would have show listings in the movie guide section.
Part of me has always wanted to drive by Climax, the old drive thru strip club in Congruity, Pennsylvania.
Used to be shiploads of drive-ins in and around Toronto. Started disappearing at the end of the 80s. Great teenaged memories of evenings at my local one in the very early 90s. I took the kids to my hometown one last summer, one of the handful of functional ones within ~1h drive of Toronto, for the latest in the Despicable Me series......My wife's first experience with a drive in as well. It was enjoyed by all. Nostalgia - the theatre has barely changed since I was their age.
There actually was one in the portlands of downtown Toronto up until last summer.....I have been told that one gave up.
I believe there is still one in Lake George NY. Have made a few trips there over the years, but, never went to the theatre while there. It was rammed on weekend nights though, so, maybe they can keep making a go of it.
(and, while I am not sure about a hardcore movie presented on one of those screens, a part of me is intrigued about the thought of a closeup shot depicting a ~50' long image of a dong parting a similarly scaled set of flesh flaps....... Gotta be careful with that stuff though, because, once you see it, you cannot un-see it )
Separate names with a comma.
