To all of my National Lacrosse League friends in New York City, Philly, Boston and all points in between. We're saying a prayer for you up here. Be safe and I hope you, your family and property come through okay. Hey Sandy, you can stop anytime now!

we were lucky with damage. but it was a unique playing Uno, scrabble and doing crosswords by the light of oil lamps.

my parents neighbor ran a line from a generator to their house, to run their stand up freezer, and his O2 concentrator. That kept him from having to go to shelter, and we both packed our frozen food in the freezer. It could have been a heck of a lot worse here.

The destrcution was was the jersey shore.

H42 will scoff, but I thought he might not make it.

Live and learn...glad to hear! Someone on a Flyers MB said their primary residence at the shore was leveled. They would not have survived if they tried to ride it out.

It more than a little bugged me that the Phila Inquirer made a special point of noting that Rick MacCleish rode out the storm in his bayside home in Ocean City.

He's probably trying to blame this on Tim Kelly.

Didn't you say that last year?

He's been crying for almost 2 days since the Nets debut was postponed. Rumor is his tears are filling the subways with even more water.

Amazing collection of photos in a slideshow.

It helps if you know the spots, but the photos are still worth watching even if you don't. The ones of the waves are stunning, and how can you beat a photo of a shark swimming right down a street!!!!

You know the pictures of the shark swimming down a flooded street are fake, right?

Thje one with the fin up was suspect to me, but the other one looked plausible. Small sharks are pulled out the surf all the time in NJ.

i believe it to be real
sharks do live on the NJ coast
tiger bull and brown sharks ive seen
    sandsharks are common

Where is the picture of the shark swimming down the street? Even if it's fake, I still wanna see it.
