Not this “closed to the public” nonsense again. Why bother playing at KeyBank if you’re not going to open it up to the public? Isn’t there some random rink in southern Ontario they can just play it at instead?

That said, it must be a thrill for the players to play in a cavernous empty arena. That’s actually a rather cool novel experience.

They should put that in the news release they sent, not have to clarify it on Twitter. Here is what they posted on their website.

BANDITS ANNOUNCE 2018 TRAINING CAMP SCHEDULE
    10/24/2018 10:15:00 AM / Bandits Public Relations

The Buffalo Bandits today announced the team’s training camp schedule. The camp will open on Saturday, Nov. 3 at KeyBank Center.

The training camp schedule is highlighted by three preseason games and two open practice opportunities.

On Nov. 10, the Bandits will head to Houghton College, alma mater of Bandits co-owner Kim Pegula, for the first open practice and a youth clinic. The practice will begin at 10 a.m. at the Kerr-Pegula Field House and will be followed by a youth clinic beginning at 11:30 a.m. Participants in the clinic will have the opportunity to receive on-floor instruction from Bandits players and coaches. Tickets for the youth clinic are $10 and can be purchased BY FOLLOWING THIS LINK.

The Bandits’ annual open practice is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 17 at 10 a.m. at KeyBank Center. The event is open to the public as a free, non-ticketed event with general admission seating. Parking for the day will be free in the KeyBank Center parking garage.

There will be a town hall Q-and-A in the Lexus Club with General Manager Steve Dietrich, Head Coaches John Tavares and Rich Kilgour, and Director of Lacrosse Operations Scott Loffler beginning at 11:30 a.m. The Bandits will also be hosting a team autograph session and holding a team garage sale, offering fans the opportunity to purchase practice jerseys, locker nameplates, sticks, photos and a wide variety of other Bandits memorabilia.

The Bandits will host the team’s annual select-a-seat promotion before and during the practice, giving fans the chance to choose their seats and purchase 2018-19 season tickets.

Below are some important preseason dates:

    • Sunday, Nov. 10 – Open practice and youth clinics, 10 a.m., Kerr-Pegula Field House at Houghton College, Preseason Game vs. New England, 7 p.m., KeyBank Center

They could also proofread the article and know that November 24 is a Saturday, not a Sunday ;)

I can see how they'd think that pointing out that the November 17 date is a non-ticketed event that is open to the public implies that the rest of the pre-season games are not, but they should clarify this a little further in the news release.

Not that it matters since they have 2 days to figure **** out or they do the post of shame and cancel everything

It's what you get when interns write your news releases and no one checks them.

Maybe they know something the rest of us don’t be saying training camps open the weekend of November 3rd. Hope so for the sake of the league.

No just like the rest of the league trying to sell as many tickets as they can before it all goes to hell since they hold the money for the future unless you demand it back.
