So far we have heard a lot of updates and good news about the Wings Season ticket deposits, is there any word on how things are going out in San Diego? They have a pretty cool pricing plan that really pushes you towards locking in for 2 years. Prices are about what they should be for NLL, with a nice selection of cheap seats to draw in the curious first timer. Attached is the seating chart and price plan.

Zero reason to expect activity here, unless the league points to this site for potential fan news.

If the Seals are at 1,000, they would be lucky. But they are out promoting the team and doing things in the community to raise awareness. I think once a schedule gets announced and a team gets put together, they will get some momentum but it's going to take some home wins to really stoke the fires.

It's a casino location, right? Profits will be in the NE model.

I knew there wouldn't be much action here but I thought someone might tell me to post this in the SD forum if I had thrown it in the main. Plus this spot needs some action lol.

According to a season ticket rep the Seals are up to over 2,000 season tickets. For comparison I asked my Wings rep and the Wings are at 3,082.

The wingss should easily have 4,000 by the season, and no reason they can’t fill the place for the opener including the mezzianne level with groups and comps

Correct about the naming rights. The building used to be called the San Diego Sports Arena originally. It opened in 1966 so I don't know what kind of shape it's in now. I refereed a pro roller derby game there in 1980 and it was in good shape then. The NBA San Diego Clippers played there in earlier years. I know when I reffed the roller derby game there we used the Clippers locker room.

No comps. Everyone needs to pay something to get in the door, even if it's only $10. You start giving out comps and good luck with trying to sell tickets for future games. This league is full of dead teams that comped tickets and then ended up folding or moving.

The Wolves can do it because they're getting the money from the casino but other teams don't have a money making casino to supplement their lax revenue.

Strong numbers for both teams. Especially with nearly 3 months until opening night.
