I haven't seen any mention of this on the board.

There's an electronic's gift guide in Friday's Toronto Sun. In it there is an ad for a lacrosse video called "War on the Floor: The Fastest Game on Two Feet."

"50 minutes of hard hitting action, incredible goals, insane plays and fights for the world of Professional Lacrosse."

"Includes interviews and features with Lacrosse legends Jim Veltman, Paul & Gary Gait and John Grant Jr."

"War on the Floor s guaranteed to make you a fan of Canada's National Sport...Lacrosse!"

There is a Molson's Sport and Entertainment logo on ad, so this is another way they are supporting pro lacrosse.

This is the first I've heard of this. It should be available at most major retailers.

I know what I want to get this year! (And a DVD player!).

Just bought the DVD literally minutes ago at National Sport for only 20 bucks. Haven't watched it yet but just wanted to let everyone know where they could pick it up.

I didn't like seeing our tough guy Dan "Glass Jaw" Ladoceur get one punched by Matt Green. I think the rest of the league saw that fight and lost alot of respect for him as a fighter. Not to mention the guys on the force who teased him about it. Look for "Glass Jaw" to get roughed up on a regular basis this season.
Who's going to step up to the plate for the Rock this year?

Luckily for Dan, I don't think Greener will be playing when the Roughies meet the Rock :D

Greeener got in a lucky shot that just happened to catch Big Dog in the nerve plexus located under the ear, where the neck, ear and jawbone meet. Pure luck. Absolutely pure luck. I know that people have been touting him as the best fighter in the league (Greener, that is) and pointing out that he took down Big Dog with one shot, and don't get me wrong, I do respect and to a certain extent admire Greener's pugilistic abilities, but it was still a lucky shot.
Me, I know I didn't lose any respect for Big Dog, and neither did palyers in the OLA. As a matter of fact, after taking a dangerous and lucky shot like that, I had to admire him all the more because he came back and finished the game!

Wonder if you'd be attributing a "Lucky Shot" to Dan if he'd taken Green down like that??? I didn't lose any respect for Dan because of the punch, lucky or not. Dan's still out there playing the games just like Matt, they play to win and take their lumps. I don't see these to guys going at it just for the sake of a fight, but if things get ugly, look for these guys to step in and make a statement.

I'd love to see a rematch. They're both tough bastards!

Green labelled Danny with one hell of a hard shot, nothing can be said to discredit that punch. The only luck was that it landed exactly on the crumple zone.

Had Green missed with that haymaker though, the complete opposite result may have been observed. I've seen Dan clean more than a few clocks in the NLL. The cops are always a joy to watch when they duke it out with someone!

I'll tell you, I saw 20 some games involving the Redmen this summer, and no one in the OLA lost respect for Dan's toughness. In fact, on a couple occasions, I can remember a guy leaving the floor when he started throwing verbal jabs at them.

    Re: Respect

Yes. One-punch takedowns are not common at all unless you're Mike Tyson, and even then, teeth are usually involved. Green is one helluva fighter, and so is Dan, but the brouhahah that went on after that one-punch fight declaring Green the new heavyweight champion of the NLL was just ridiculous. Yes, he is a heckuva good fighter, and yes, I want to see a rematch, but his first victory was a lucky shot and I would say the same thing if Dan had done it too. :D We'll see if they square off this year.

    Fair Enough

Okay, sounds good to me. I for one wasn't touting Matt as the new heavyweight champ of the league. He made it plain enough that he wasn't to be trifled with though. And anyone that figures they can take Dan lightly had been pick out a nice pine box to wear home.

Why did no one mention that I was in the DVD at least twice. I say at least because I clearly saw myself twice, but know I was there as the camera zoomed by several times.

remind me before next time in Toronto. i do not have war on the floor, but, i have the tenth anniversary season disk......which contains a whole bunch of the footage from war on the floor.

i can probably copy it to a dvd-5, or re-encode it as some other format, but there is lead time required.

rockhead no longer comes to games. Relocated out of Toronto, and took up endurance sports. If he is awake, he is either working, swimming, biking, or running.

healthy, but i always fear he will be hit by a bus driven by a guy who smokes three packs a day.

Located a copy of this video, either legally or illegally, and was immediately blown away by the porn remix of Steve Austin's entrance music at the beginning of the video.

"We have clips from the indoor professional lacrosse league."

Could they not mention the NLL by name on here for some reason??

My goodness, Pat Coyle is awkward as **** in this video with his bizarre facial expressions when they come back from highlight montages and when Joe Bowen speaks.
