No idea what event operational costs are now for GM Place/Rogers Arena but when the Ravens were there, they were paying $46,000 per game and getting no return on the concessions. So now having arena ownership on board, it's win-win instead of loss-loss.

Well... that was fast... new GM and new coach

I like the hiring of Chris Gill - for the added bonus he was one of the face-of-the-team players with Ravens and helps link the two Vancouver teams.

Good hiring move for the Ravens. Chris Gill was always a favorite of mine growing up due to his ties with the Rock. Stroup just happened to leave the Mammoth too, so I wonder if he'll be an assistant coach under Gill since I think he has ties to Vancouver as well.

Wasn't aware of that, but would be awesome if it happened - could be possible because Gill, Stroup, and Coyle were all pretty close in Denver.

When Govett was getting inducted to the Burnaby Sports Hall of Fame, I was sitting at the same table as Govett and those three (I was attending in support of another inductee, Dave Evans - they were there for Govett) and it was awesome and hilarious listening to their stories. Stroupie is a great guy and would be a good addition in Vancouver as he's worked alongside Gill and comes from a winning background in both the NLL and local WLA scene.

At the bottom of the Press Release (https://www.nhl.com/canucks/info/lacrosse) they also had an FAQ section about. I have it here below.

Canucks already making some good moves with their new lax team. I fully expect the team name to be the Ravens unless they come up with something else B.C. related that hasn't been taken.

This article from Thursday seems to indicate that Stroup is Vancouver bound.

If that's indeed true, then the Ravens might've just become my "favorite" western division team.
