...to the fan based halftime entertainment? It seems that it's all youth teams playing at halftime. Pegula too cheap to spend for prizes?

that's it? that is your complaint? at least you are not suffering from watching pre teen girl dance troupes at halftime like we were in philly.

I would think it's a Liability thing. Access to the playing field has been greatly limited. All the "fan based" stuff has been moved to the Zamboni area. And is now sponsored........Louie's Egg Smash and Buffalo Creek Casino Blackjack.

I will say those Tuscarora under 10's at half time put on a really good show. So much skill for such a young age. Best kids game in a long time.

See the same thing at Rock games......now and then you get a really strong lacrosse centre doing the split-squad halftime scrimmage, and the kids, who are decent to excellent players, get really excited for being on the big stage and put on a helluva show.

On some nights, the set attack even gets more goals in 15 minutes than the pro team gets all night :D:rolleyes:

Based on what they showed yesterday, it looks like they really teach the fundamentals of passing and scooping loose balls to their kids early. And the hit that was the Carruba Collision (sad that it came from under 10s and not the pros over 22 on the floor) was a solid example on how to cleanly separate someone from a loose ball attempt.

The youth halftime brings about 15 to 20 kids plus family members to the game......make some money on tickets for family members, exposes them to the game and hopefully attracts them back
