    I was there the last time the 'Borough overhauled the PMC, and it wasn't pretty. Not a lot of nice arena choices nearby that will even hold half of the fan base

    interesting was that they suggested that the operating costs are a cool $half million.

    no flights, and few hotels, and a community rink that probably only costs a couple thousand per game.

    more games than NLL though if they go deep into playoffs

    Very surprising indeed. However, if the Lakers do take 2018 off, do you think this has the same sort of impact on their fanbase that the Rock's dark ages had? In other words, if the Lakers do go dark for 2018, do you think they'd draw crowds closer to 1,000 in 2019 rather than the 3,000+ they were attracting in 2016?

    '03 was depressing. They played in a dungeon-like community rink that could maybe hold 900, and the glass was so marked from balls/pucks you could barely see through it.

    That's disappointing to hear. Especially the crowds they've been getting the last few years.
